Over the summer I bought a box of 2017 Stadium Club. This is about as "high-end" as I get. I paid somewhere around $129 for the box. Of course I still need a lot to complete the set. I also picked up fifteen cards at one of the more recent card shows I attended.
First I'll show a few cards from the box starting with one of my Mom's favorite players.
Yes, my Mom was a Yankees fan growing up.
I didn't pull the Aaron Judge card, but I did pull the gold parallel.
Here's a couple from the fifteen I bought at the card show.
I love seeing cards with the older style uniforms.
I need a hat with my name on it.
I'll have a wantlist up for this in the near future.

2017 Topps Heritage
With the Aaron Judge craze, the card aisles have been pretty bare for the most part. I didn't buy any Heritage right when it came out, and the card shop in my area never reordered any after their initial shipment ran out. WalMart and Target weren't much help either. I was only able to get a couple of $20 blasters and have had to supplement the rest of the set by raiding boxes of commons and the card shop and card shows.
At a recent card show I picked up one hundred and fifteen of them for ten dollars. I'll be putting up a want list shortly.

1975 Topps
I've picked up a lot of 1975 Topps via card shows and generous bloggers sending me some. Unfortunately, I have no idea who sent me what...so if you've brightened my doorstep with these recently (as in the past year or so), thank you very much.
So if you don't mind, I'm going to show off a few.
When I was very young (like 10), I used to brag that I knew something about every baseball player. One of the older kids in my neighborhood tried to test me and tried to stump me with Manny Sanguillen. Every time I see a card of him, I think of that conversation. For the record, I said "Catcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Used to play for the Oakland A's".
Good thing that was in the late 70's and not the mid-70's because I would have had no idea who this was.
Or him...
...and definitely not him.
Everytime I see a card of Len Randle, I think of his 1978 Topps card.
Baseball players were like gods to me. So when I found out Lynn McGlothen died at age 34 in a mobile home fire, it wasn't that he died, but that it was in a mobile home! I did paper routes in my youth, and most people that lived in a mobile home were old people that smelled funny. So I couldn't picture a baseball player in a mobile home.
I remember getting a Strat-O-Matic type baseball game when I was young and this was the only Red Sox player I was not familiar with at the time. I never ended up playing it because (it was too hard and nobody else was interested in playing it with me), so I just read the cards.
All I remember about him (other than also playing for the Royals) is that Peter Marshall (the original Hollywood Squares host from 1966 through 1981) is his father. I always thought that was pretty cool.
Just a great photo.
Hope everyone is enjoying their New Year's!
