Last post I showed you the football cards I picked up...now here comes the baseball cards.
We'll start off with a couple from 1976 Topps. Not in the best condition, but good enough for me.
Two cards from 1977 Topps. I already have both of these, but these two don't have my initials written on the top of the card.
I also picked up a trio of cards from 1978 Topps.
I have this one already...but this is one of my favorite cards of all time. Now I have one for the set and one to display.
I'm not sure if this really is his autograph or not.
Looking at some more of his autographed cards some look close to his signature...
...and others don't.
This was the usual "I wasn't sure if I had this card or not, but for ten cents I'll take a chance".
Three from 1982 Donruss. (Sorry, but I need the Wallach.)
One from 1982 Fleer.
Four from 1982 Topps.
Two from 1984 Topps.
A mess of 1985 Donruss...
...and one from 1985 Leaf.
Some of these cards had prices on them...for instance the 1982 Fleer Ferguson Jenkins and the 1982 Topps All-Star Rod Carew had $10 written on them. I hope that nobody really tried to sell those two cards at that price.
The Leaf George Brett was marked $6. Since the Donruss version books at $3, that was probably what a dealer was trying to get for it. I like 10 cents better.
One from 1985 Topps.
One from 1986 Donruss. Someone wanted 2 bucks for this. They didn't get it.
I love anything and everything 1991 Stadium Club.
I also found a pack of two cards from the 2002 Post set. Let's see who I got besides Alex Rodriguez.
Why, it's Vladimir Guerrero...the first Expo to have a 30-HR/30-SB season. Yes I do read the card backs.
I also grabbed this 2013 Bowman Chrome Prospect card of Deven Marrero.
These last six cards are from the 2016 Topps 65th Anniversary set. This is a WalMart exclusive...and I was
interested in collecting this and bought a few of these boxes at the low price of $24.99 each. In the box were sixteen cards and one autograph. The idea behind this set was to have one card represent each year of the flagship releases from 1952 to 2016. The idea behind this set was to also sell you the same damn sixteen cards in each box. It only took me five boxes to decide that I'd had enough. I'll put up a wantlist for this at some point and if anybody else is trying to finish this I obviously have some dupes as well.
