To make a long story short, she passes out and his good side and evil side appear on opposite sides of him and debate whether or not he should take advantage of her.
This is what happens when I go to Five Below. My good and evil side debate whether or not I should take advantage of a repack there.
Lately good has triumphed over evil and I've left empty handed, but I don't know what happened this time. Perhaps my good side overslept, got stuck in traffic or something, but this time evil Bert prevailed and I walked out with this:
I broke down the hundred or so loose cards last post.
So here are the four packs.
The main reason I had ceased (for a short time anyways) buying repacks from Five Below was this:
1989 Topps Cello Jumbo packs. They were in every repack I bought. I have enough, I don't need anymore.
So I'm happy to say that there was not an 89 Topps Jumbo pack in there.
Instead there was:
The suspense is killing you, isn't it?
A rack pack instead. Yippee.
I'm not even going to bother to scan what was in this, because we've seen them all several times.
I did get a John Smoltz rookie. I think I have six now.
On to the other three packs.
1988 Donruss. Yup, I've got a lot of this too.
15 cards...
...and 1 puzzle piece.
I've opened up a lot of 1988 Donruss, but two things about this pack struck me as odd.
First of all the cards were sequential. I don't remember ever experiencing this in the past. The pack started with card 272 Randy Bush and went backwards numercially to card 258 Brian Downing.
Second of all, the Randy Ready card wasn't cut very well. Look at the top left corner.
Here's a closeup of it.
I haven't finished this set, so let's see what I end up with.
135 - Josh Reddick (A's)
176 - Geovany Soto (Cubs)
110 - Scott Rolen (Reds)
FS-19 - Ryan Braun (Brewers)
ODS-2 - Albert Pujols (Angels)
21 - Matt Moore (Rays)
106 - Josh Johnson (Marlins)
Last one.
I like this set. I'm getting an appreciation of all things featuring older photos, even if they look a bit strange with all of the logos and team names airbrushed off.
So ultimately I'm left with disappointment...again.
A repack of the SAME color.
She was only fifteen, dude. Let good win next time!
ReplyDeleteHey,hey, hey, most of those cards were over 21 years of age, and were all consenting :)
DeleteI got the cards you sent yesterday, and thanks for helping me take a dent out of those sets.
I sent your cards out today, plus I included a Griffey PowerDeck CD-Rom card I had an extra of. It is still wrapped in plastic.
Enjoy,and thanks for the trade!
I remember Donruss packs back in the day often had multiple cards in a row, but for the whole pack to be sequential sounds fishy.
