Welcome back. Like I had mentioned in my previous post, the first few are going to be about me and my collecting habits.
There is a Wal-Mart, a Target, a dollar store and a card shop all within a few minutes from where I live. There are still even monthly card shows in my area. So the opportunities for me to buy cards are plentiful. (From reading many of the blogs out there I appear to be very fortunate.)
So I buy most of my newer cards at Target, and I also buy a lot of dollar store repacks. A lot of dollar store repacks. (So many I needed to state it twice.) I don't have a huge card budget, so the higher end products are never on my radar screen.
As I had mentioned before, I collect to complete sets. That said, I don't consider SP's to be part of the set. If the set is 300 cards, but 350 with the SP's, I consider the set to be 300 cards. If I get an SP great, but I don't consciously seek them.
I'm very new to blogging and I haven't quite figured most of this stuff out (hence the very bland design and once I figure out how to post pictures I'll scan cards), and I do appreciate the couple of comments I received on my first post. (I still don't know how anybody found my blog.)
I've bought a few 72 card boxes of Topps 2013 baseball, so once I get that sorted, it will probably be my first actual card post. (With all the impending snow we're supposed to get here, looks like I'll have plenty of time on my hands.) Thanks for reading and enjoy your weekend!
Welcome to blogging. As a fellow Red Sox collector maybe we will both have some doubles to trade each other.
ReplyDeleteAs for how I found you, I saw the Red Sox logo on a comment you left Night Owl.
